Children's Camp

In the summer, Sam-O-Camp, a children's program, offers supervised activities throughout the day. Sam-O-Camp treats your child to a fun-filled day of quality recreational activities, arts & crafts, exploration and lunch.

Starts: June 23, 2008
Ends: August 23, 2008

Ages 5-12
Monday through Saturday- 10am-3pm 
* $10/hr/child, Includes Lunch and a Sam-O-Camp Logo T-Shirt

Registering For Camp

Prior registration is required to allow for appropriate staffing. Please register with the Health Club Desk by 8 p.m. the evening before camp.  Call extension 545 from within the Resort and  207-593-1545 from outside the Resort.  You may charge the camp fee to your room at the time of registration.  There must be at least two(2) children registered for SamoCamp, in order for camp to take place.

Canceling

Should you need to cancel your child’s registration, a two-hour notice of cancellation is required. If the cancellation policy is not honored, a charge of 50% of the daily camp fee will be applied.  Your anticipated cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Activities

Activities may include, but are not limited to, interactive games, crafts, board games, swimming, nature walks, playground fun, story time and singing. All activities   will be age appropriate and will be weather dependant.  Water safety will be strongly emphasized. 

What to Bring to Camp

As you plan for your day at camp, please use the checklist below to pack the   necessary items for the day.

  • Backpack
  • Bathing suit (towels are provided)
  • Attachable floatation device if needed (no toys please)                            
  • An extra set of comfortable play clothes
  • Two pairs of footwear (one preferably sneakers)
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Water Bottle
  • Any medications or other medical treatments. Please include instructions for administration.  (Must be discussed with Hospitality Events Coordinator or SamoCamp Supervisor prior to registration.)
Please Be Advised
  • Parents/Guardians must remain on Samoset Resort property while their children are attending either SamoCamp or child care.
  • A cell phone or pager number should be provided whenever possible.
  • All children must be out of diapers and pull-ups to attend SamoCamp.
